ADR Hazardous Goods Driver Training
ADR - DANGEROUS GOODS (Initial course)
This qualification is mandatory for drivers who carry either packaged dangerous goods (vehicle over 3.5 tonnes) or dangerous goods in road tankers (over 1000 litres capacity).
The qualification is an ADR Certificate issued by the DVLA. The test is a "multiple choice" examination run through Scottish Qualifications Authority. The candidate must pass at least three modules for a certificate to be issued - Core, either packs or tanks and one chemical class.
The courses are of varying length - a standard "full course" covers core, tanks and packs modules and all seven chemical classes, the course duration is five days. The tanks course covers core, tanks and class 3 - flammable liquids, the course duration is three days.
Please contact the office for further information on the course you require and the duration & price.
The initial course is for candidates who wish to achieve the certificate for the first time. Your ADR certificate needs to be renewed every 5 Years, and you must renew the licence at least 6 - 8 weeks before the expiry date. You may only renew those modules that already exist on your licence.
